Freshly Twisted...

So just about every day I twist each dread. I think I have 45 or 46 dreads. This takes some time but I do it while the kids are bathing, waiting for the bus, dinner to bake, Carter works on homework, etc. It isn't too bad since I can do it anywhere and just need a few things: a large plastic clip, my dread wax ( which I am not using as much of recently), a crochet hook for weaving in extra pieces, a mirror, cotton balls and my hair/scalp rinse. I make my scalp rinse with a ting bit of organic raw apple cider vinegar, water, aloe, tea tree oil, peppermint oil, and honey. It seems to make my scalp chill out and tame the dandruff! Next up my washing regimen.

Dreads re-do....

So my dreads needed some professional help... After a month they were all different sizes and really frizzy! I made an appointment at ShiShi's salon in Worcester. They primarily do African American hair so it was a little intimidating to walk in there but it was fine. After looking at them the stylist decided to start over! I was a little bummed but the result is much better and something I know I can live with.
