Cinco de Mayo

(I know this is old)

Our biblestudy celebrated Cinco de Mayo with dinner and Cerveza (with limes of course!)... we had wonderful time of fellowship and fun!... and then we got to biblestudy! we had 20+ people in our house... for those of you who know our house you know how much of a party that was! Love my awesome $2 banner?... I loved it against my wall color.... saving it for next year!Daisy and Nora are 2 and learning to share together!... now that is something to celebrate!

Bumbo

Cora is getting soooooooooooo big! And so fast! I love the Bumbo becuase it gets her up and in the action with the rest of us. Daisy has been interacting with Cora so much more recently and the Bumbo has helped this.

I have been a "BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD" blogger

Hang tight while I try to catch you up in the happenings of our little family:

We spent a whole day our at the Shearing Day for the MVFF... for Christmas my parents have given us a Spring 2009 CSA share to the Martha's Vineyard Fiber Farm (MVFF)... basically we get a share of the wool from their spring shearing in the form of ready to dye yarn... I have been told it is expensive, beautiful yarn... this whole idea is from the genius brain of Susie the fiber farm's farmer/modern day shepard... she has a blog and this spring we watch anxiously while the goats were having their babies and now the sheep are... they even have a lamb cam set up so you can view the nursery... our visit to the farm (which actually moves to the Hudson Valley for the winter) was fabulious...
their shearer was a wrestler in the past... he was amazing... our kids loved the sheep getting their "hair cut"
baby goats enjoy the shelter from the visitors...Daisy was not to sure of the sheep and goats at first but by the end of the day all she wanted to do was watch them get their hair cut..Grandpa showing Giuliana and Carter the goats (yes even D&J and the family came up for the visit)
some of their beautiful yarn was for sale... I snagged up some sock yarn for a small summer project to carry around with me...there were demonstrators their showing how the weave with yarn and spin yarn from the wool...

we had a mini party for Guiles and Genna since we missed out on their Birthdays...
Carter chased the chickens and finally petted one....
and this little girl found her thumb earlier that week but at shearing day she declared it her best soothing tool (besides Mama of course!)
