sledding!

The weekend before Christmas we got about 6 inches of snow that gave us just enough of a base to go sledding! Kevin ran the snow blower and then the girls and I ran out to enjoy the snow. I pulled the girls in the radio flyer wagon and they giggled, especially Cora!
Then Carter and i tried to have a snow ball fight but it just fell apart.
Then we broke out Grandma's toboggan and went on an adventure out at the sand pile behind our house! It was so much and I am so happy that I am free to this stuff this winter (no bun in the oven here!). Soon I will be snowboarding and trying to teach Carter! I am really looking forward to that! Here's to many more winter adventures!

Christmas cookies...

I had my 4th (or 5th Can't remember) Christmas Cookie Exchange this past Sunday and it was wonderful! I really had such a nice time and was able to swap my Candy Canes and Christmas trees for many different kinds of cookies. They are so yummy. The hardest part is to save some for Christmas and remembering to take pictures! This year was especially wonderful because Em was able to come (after all she is the Cookie Queen!) I did get one picture with her at the very end:

So I leave with many other images of cookies to make you Merry and Bright:

P.S. I am usually not a fan of store bought cookies but nothing is better with cocoa than Candy Cane Joe-Joe's from Trader Joes!

Thanksgiving...

So recently I have fallen off the band wagon as "the mom who took the most pictures ever". But that's a good thing I think b/c my kids hated it. So this past Thanksgiving the camera came along but I really enjoyed the day and made some moments but didn't capture them all on camera. Here are a few from my parents house...

Carter is becoming that quircky little boy of the family that makes weird faces, farting jokes, and is annoying but soooooooooooooooooo cute and funny at the same time. I guess his humor is growing and we really enjoy it... well most of the time!

This little turkey wore the dress I knitted for Daisy when she was the same age Cora is now. I love this dress for many reasons and I think when they are done with it I will frame it and hang it in their room.

I love that we were able to catch the end of the parade on Tivo at 7pm at night. We don't have Tivo, cable and watch mostly VHS for our kids movies.... yeah things are a bit archaic here but we don't mind.
